eBook Revenues Surpass Hardcover

Written By: laurie - Jun• 18•12

Okay. It had to happen sooner or later. I mean, Amazon announced last year that the number of eBooks sold had surpassed the number of hardcover print books sold for them. Now, the sales revenues have also tipped in eBooks’ favor.

According to the full numbers (reported here at GalleyCat from March 2012 Association of American Publishers data) adult eBook sales were $282.3 million while adult hardcover sales counted $229.6 million during the first quarter of 2012.

Do visit the GalleyCat site and check out all the sales numbers for adult paperback, mass market, audio and more.
